Stamp Club March 2013

We needed a girly card tonight to balance the masculine one, so we went all out with pink (Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink) and bling!  I love the way the butterfly from Bloomin' Marvelous looks in the Elegant Butterfly punch!
The card, above and below, use the Nature Walk set.  the Natural Trim ribbon from the Spring catalog gives it a nice rustic look.  The colors are Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke, Early Espresso, and Naturals Ivory.  The bird is stamped in Marina Mist.  A good masculine card to balance out the many, many flower cards I make!

I shoed a few techniques to use with the Natural Composition Specialty Paper.  For the card, above, we rubbed Whisper White Craft ink on the paper and then rubbed the excess off with a paper towel.

Some other ideas are below.  On the left, I rubbed drops of reinker directly on the paper with a sponge dauber.  Then I rubbed with a paper towel.  On the right, I used markers to color in the design.  Then I rubbed it with paper towel to get the excess ink off the embossed areas.

The Natural Composition Specialty Paper is great to use as-is, too!
Happy Stamping!

Stamping Fun Night March 2013

It was a small group, but we had fun at Stamping Fun Night!  We made the card, above as a make-n-take.  It's a quick and easy design that can be used with lots of punches and sets!

The other make-n-take was this card, above and below.  The Color Coach helped me choose the colors (Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, and Basic Gray).  We used a Sale-A-Bration set, but the layout is another one that's easy to use with many stamp sets!

When I made the card, below, I first showed how to dye Silver Glimmer Paper into any color you want.  Use a sponge dauber and some drops of reinker to get ink on the glimmer paper.  Dry with a heat tool to speed up the drying time.  You can now have glimmer paper in any color you want!  The butterflies are punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch and have a little glimmer paper in the center.

Happy Stamping!
