Tips and Measurements:

The Very Vanilla is 2 ½ x 5, and scored at ½” and 1”.  The Designer Paper is 2 ½ x 4 ½.  After stapling the bag together, snip off the top corners.

This technique is called Floating Strips.  Adhere strips of card stock on a Window Sheet.  Add dimensionals to the back.  Then adhere to a coordinating color of card stock.  It looks like the strips of card stock are floating!

Techniques-

-Direct to Paper (background) Rub the ink pad directly onto the paper.

-Stamp Off (inside) Ink up an image, stamp on scrap paper, the stamp on card stock.  Do this to get a lighter shade from the same ink pad!

-Clear Block Technique (behind leaf) Ink up a clear block, then stamp on card stock.

-Sponging (edges) Get ink on a sponge dauber.  Then rub/flick along the edges of card stock.

TIP-

-after inking up sponge dauber, test on scrap paper so it is the amount of ink you want to add to the tree.

Split Card

• full card size:

4 ¼ x 11 card stock

Cut at 1 ½ and 2 ½.  

Fold at 1 ½.  

• mounted on card stock card:

4 x 10 ½ card stock

Cut at 1 ½ and 2 ¼.

Fold at 1 ½.

Then adhere to a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ piece of card stock.

TIPS:

-Attach the Tear & Tape to the card stock and add Gilded Leafing.  Rub excess off with finger.

-You can also make the pop-out circle with 2 circle punches (retired).  Punch the small circle, then punch with the larger circle.

TIPS:

-Flip over the paper and rub on scrap paper after you add ink.  It will remove the ink from the dots and stop it from smearing.

-Use Staz On ink if you don’t want the dots to show through the word as much.

-Clean the leaf stamp after you “rock-n-roll”.

TIPS:

-Before attaching masking paper to the card stock, stick it to the back of your hand to remove a layer of adhesive.  Otherwise, pressure from the blending brushes will make it stick too tight.

-Use a Blending Brush to add color to the edge of the inside card stock.

-Use the silicone pad so the masking paper can hold down the card stock (and not stick to the scrap paper!).
