The first card I demonstrated is a split card. The top and bottom of the card are split apart, and then held together with the image! These cards are lots of fun to make, and not too hard, either!
I thought it would be fun to add some ribbon, and realized that I would have to split that, too!

TIPS:
-Fold the Flirty Flamingo card stock in half. Then unfold and cut 4” off the bottom. This 4” piece will be cut down to 3”. The 1” x 4 ¼”
piece will be extra.
-Cut the 4” x 4” square of Neutrals Paper into one 1
1/4” x 4” and one 2 ¾” x 4” piece.
Attach to the Flirty Flamingo card stock pieces.
-Stamp and cut out your image. Attach the top half to the top half of the
card, and the bottom half to the bottom half of the card.
Amber wanted to do some watercoloring at her party, so I demonstrated this card with 2 watercoloring techniques! The hardest thing about this card is waiting for the water/ink to dry before you move on to the next step! What I love about watercoloring is that it is different every time!

TIPS:
-Put a
drop of reinker in the lid of an ink pad.
Use an AquaPainter to make a watercolor wash on watercolor paper. Set aside to dry. A watercolor wash is just taking water and ink and spreading on paper. The Watercolor Paper is great for this because it is made just for watercoloring and will soak up some of the water so it doesn't run around your paper. But you can try this technique on any paper!
-Ink up
an image with a lighter color, and then a coordinating darker color (on the
edges). Just roll the edges of the stamp on the darker ink. Spritz 3 times with a Stampin’
Spritzer. Then stamp on watercolor
paper. OR ink up with one color and
spritz with water one time (like I did with the leaves).
One of the make-n-takes also used the watercoloring technique. I love the simple layout of this card, yet it is still elegant and pretty. Using a lighter and darker color of coordinating inks on the flower makes it easier to add dimension.

TIPS:
-If you
use the lighter color first when you are watercoloring, it is easier to add the
darker color later for accents.
-Don’t
worry if you go out of the lines a little!
-The
photopolymer stamps can bend and curve! You can make them bend so the image fits into the banner!
Amber had a birthday last week, so a birthday card just HAD to be one of the make-n-takes! It's hard to see in the picture, but we added a little sparkle to the flames with the Wink of Stella clear.
