At the New Catalog Workshop there were new products, snacks, and make-n-takes. But the best part was the fun! We stamped and talked and shopped! Not a bad way to spend part of a Sunday,
or a Monday evening!
The first card I demonstrated uses a fun angle cut into the designer paper. You can make the space in the angle any size you want. I cut my Designer Paper to fit the words I wanted to stamp!
stamps: Love & Affection paper: Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight (4” x 5 ¼”), Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper (4” x 4
½”) ink: Night of Navy, Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder accessories: medium envelope-Very Vanilla, Punch- Pansy, sponge dauber, paper snips, Dimensionals
TIPS:
-To make the diagonal design, cut the Designer Paper at
an angle. Then layer it on the Daffodil
Delight card stock, leaving a space between the two pieces.
-Make the diagonal space larger or smaller by using
different dimensions of the Designer Paper (4 x 4 ½ or 3
¾ x 4).
Two of the flowers are attached directly to the card, and the third one is popped out with dimensionals. Using a sponge dauber to add a little color to the outside of the flowers make them seem more "real".
I love this flamingo from the Pop of Paradise set! And see that Thank You??? It is embossed in black! It's done with the Archival Basic Black ink pad!! Stamp the image, pour clear embossing powder on immediately, and heat with the heat tool! Love it!

Oh, Happy Day! Except I can't decide if I like the banner in Whisper White or Peekaboo Peach! I showed both to my hubby, Todd, and he couldn't decide which one he liked better, either!
Decisions, decisions!
Do you love how the banner pops out? Read the tips, below, for a quick how-to!
stamps: Pineapple, Thoughtful
Banners paper: Old
Olive (5 ½” x 8 ½”), Peekaboo
Peach (4” x 5 ¼”), Whisper
White (3 ¾” x 5”) ink: Old
Olive, Peekaboo
Peach accessories: medium
envelope- Whisper White, ribbon-
3/8” ruched Peekaboo Peach, punch-duet
banner, stamping
sponges, paper
snips, dimensionals
TIPS:
-Ink
up the pineapple with the ink pads, or use a sponge (especially when you are
closer to the other inked part).
-To
get the words to be the right curve for the banner, stamp the banner, and then
put a clear block on top. Add the words,
curving the photopolymer stamp to match the curve on the banner.
-Stamp
and punch the banner two times. Snip out
the center part of the banner. Then
attach to the other banner with dimensionals.
When I first saw the Swirly Bird stamp set, I couldn't see beyond the swirls. See my post here for some other ideas for this versatile stamp set!
stamps: Swirly
Bird, Watercolor
Wishes Card Kit paper: Elegant
Eggplant (5 ½” x 8 ½”), Wisteria
Wonder (4” x 5 ¼” and 3/4” x 4 x ½” before punching), Very
Vanilla (3 ¾” x 5”) ink: Elegant
Eggplant, Wisteria
Wonder accessories: medium
envelope- Very Vanilla, Big

TIPS:
-Stamp 3 larger swirls in Wisteria Wonder. Then stamp smaller swirls in Elegant
Eggplant.
-Put adhesive on the back of the Thanks banner, then
attach it to the swirl. Do this on the
Silicone Craft Sheet so it doesn’t stick to the table. Then add dimensionals to the back of the
swirl.
-Sponge around the edges of the Very Vanilla card stock
in Wisteria Wonder.
