May 2018 Stamp Club

I demonstrated this card for the last Stamp Club get-together for this catalog year.
It was a fun year of stamping, visiting, and making memories!

The Just Getting Started Bundle is so versatile!  I love the FREE notecards and envelopes!  I also used VersaMark ink, Share What You Love Designer Paper (available in Gotta Have It All bundle, or in the 2018-2019 SU catalog), and dimensionals.

We learned the Black Ice technique.  It works with Archival Basic Black, but that will take longer to dry than StazOn.  My biggest tip when doing this technique is to use a VERY light touch when rubbing the VersaMark pad over the copper foil sheet!  The embossing powder sticks to the small amount of VersaMark, making little dots of "black ice"!

The easiest way I have found to do Reverse Image Stamping is with waxed paper.  I added ground and water with an AquaPainter dipped in reinker.  The edges of the Crumb Cake card stock are roughed up with the edge of the Paper Snips.

stamps:

paper:

Wood Textures Designer Stack

ink:

accessories:

Use the Stampin' Pierce Mat to get even coverage when you stamp.

Simple or stepped up, the card will be a hit to whoever receives it!  You can't see the pearlized glimmer on the designer paper, but it is beautiful!

The Share What You Love Suite is a sneak peek of the 2018-19 catalog.
There are 3 great bundles to choose from!  All of the products (except the Statement of the Heart Single Stamp) will be available in the 2018-19 catalog.

-Gotta Have It All Bundle

-1/2” circle punch

-Whisper White card stock

-Whisper White medium envelopes

-Fine Tip Glue Pen OR Multipurpose Liquid Glue & a stamping sponge

TIPS:
-Use the ½” circle punch to make the corners.  If you have the retired “ticket punch”, that works well, too!
-To attach the doily, use the Fine Tip Glue Pen.  You can also put some Multipurpose glue on a sponge and sponge the glue on the back of the doily.

I CASEed this card from another demonstrator's blog.  I loved the leaves!  And it's so easy to get two shades of the same color when you stamp off!

-Just Getting Started Bundle

-Old Olive card stock

-Glitter Enamel Dots

-dimensionals

-Very Vanilla medium envelopes

TIPS:
-Stamp the leaves with ink.  Then stamp again to make the lighter color.  This is called stamping off.
-Attach the small piece of Old Olive card stock to the words.  Then cut both at an angle at the same time.

Check out these great bundles from the Share What You Love Suite!  These bundles are only available until May 31st!  Did you see the new InColors?!?!  You can get those now, too!  Woohoo!

Stamp Club April 2018

I demonstrated a spinner card.  It's so fun to watch the butterfly spin across the card!

stamps:

Watercolor Wings

paper:
Dapper Denim(5 ½” x 8 ½” and 3 1/8” x 4 1/8”)
Old Olive (4” x 5 ¼”)
Crushed Curry
Color Theory Memories and More Pack

accessories:
medium envelope- Whisper White
ribbon- 3/8” mini chevron- Crushed Curry
punch- Classic Label
punch- 1 ¼” circle
Big Shot
Butterflies Thinlits
dimensionals (reg and mini)

Spinner Card Directions:
·     Punch a long, thin oval shape in card stock or Designer Paper, making a window.
·     Stamp an image on a separate piece of paper.  Attach a penny to the back.  Then add a dimensional (mini or regular) to the penny.
·     Put the dimensional through the window and peel off the backing.
·     Attach another penny to the dimensional.
-->
·     Attach this to a larger piece of card stock, making sure you have many dimensionals on the back.  You will want the image to be able to spin!

The first card we made uses VersaMark.  The only place we used Island Indigo was to sponge around the edge, and some people used it to stamp the words.  The cards are almost the same, but the card on the right is a step up.  It has Silver Glimmer Paper and the words are embossed with silver embossing powder.  Do you like the fun fold?  It's quick and easy, too!  Even fussy-cutting the flower doesn't toke very long.

stamps:
Blooms and Wishes

paper:
Island Indigo (5 ½” x 8 ½” and 3 ½” x 4 ¾”)
Soft Sky (3 ¾” x 5” and 2 ¼” x 3 ½”)
Whisper White  (3 ½” x 4 ¾”)
Silver Glimmer Paper (1/2” x 4 ¾”)

ink:
VersaMark
Island Indigo

accessories:
medium envelope- Whisper White
heat tool & buddy
silver embossing powder
Simply Scored
paper snips
stamping sponge
dimensionals
bone folder
3/8” ribbon Soft Sky

TIPS:
-Score the card base at 4 ¼” and 2 1/8”.
-Use a bone folder to make the petals of the flower curl up.
-Wrap the ribbon around the Island Indigo card stock.

This card also shows a great way to use VersaMark.  I taped a bunch of strips of card stock together, and then stamped the dragonfly with VersaMark.  How pretty!!  And the words are embossed, using VersaMark ink.

I got the idea for this card from a swap I did with some other demonstrators.  I love to CASE (Copy And Share Everything)!  The punch makes the daisy super easy to cut out!  This was the second card we made.

stamps:
Daisy Delight

paper:
Daffodil Delight (5 ½” x 8 ½”)
Whisper White (4” x 5 ¼”)

accessories:
medium envelope- Whisper White
punch- daisy
punch- ½” circle

The last card we made uses the Tutti Frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins and the Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder.  I love how they coordinate!

stamps:
Colorful Seasons

paper:
Peekaboo Peach(5 ½” x 8 ½”)
Whisper White
Vellum Card Stock (3” x 4 ½”)

ink:
Peekaboo Peach
Memento Tuxedo Black

Stamp Club March 2018

The first card Stamp Club made is a watercolor wash.  The cards above were made by scribbling on watercolor paper with watercolor pencils.  Then an AquaPainter or wet paintbrush was run over the top of it to blend the colors and make the watercolor look.  After it dries you can stamp your words!

This card was made by spritzing the watercolor paper with water, using a Stampin' Spritzer.  Then use an AquaPainter to pick up ink from the inside of an ink pad and apply it to the moist watercolor paper.  Wait until it dries to stamp the image.  I also added some more ink with my AquaPainter after the image dried.

stamps:
Stylized Birthday
OR
#Lots of Lavender

paper:
Old Olive (4 ¼” x 11” and 3 ¼” x 4 ½”)
Delightful Daisy Designer Paper (4” x 5 ¼”)

ink
Elegant Eggplant (for flower card)
Basic Black

accessories:
medium envelope- Whisper White
Watercolor Pencils (for birthday card)
AquaPainter
ribbon- 1/8” sheer, Old Olive

We made our own chevron!  We scored a 1" x 5 1/2" piece of card stock at 1/2" down the length, and then at each 1/2" across the width.  We cut up from the corners of the "width" lines to the center line, removed the triangle piece, and had the top of our chevron done.  We flipped it upside down and repeated the cutting to make our chevron complete!

stamps:
Guy Greetings

Stamp Club members had the supplies they needed to make a card from the February 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit, Wildflower Wishes.  The envelopes have a beautiful inside design!!  What a fun surprise when you open the card!

This kit came with Garden Green ink.  Sahara Sand was listed as a coordinating color.

The Stamp Club party was a little different this month (we didn't meet because of our busy March schedules).  I still wanted to do a door prize, but had a hard time picking just one name.  I wanted everyone to win!  So... everyone DID win the door prize this month!  The Whisper White Narrow Notecards & Envelopes from the Occasions catalog, along with some Calypso Coral card stock and Sale-A-Bration Shimmer Ribbon, was in everyone's packet.
Surprise!
And congratulations to our many winners! 😀🍀
I made a sample card with the supplies and decided to give it to Todd.  As you can see from the look on his face, he loves the card!
