At Stamp Club this month we had a chance to try out some NEW products from the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs. Plus we visited, enjoyed some snacks, and had lots of fun!
Colleen, our hostess, wanted a graduation card. I demonstrated this card, and all of the Stamp Club members got a how-to sheet that explains the steps to make the graduation cap. Doesn't it look like confetti coming down?!

the paper snips to make a banner at the end of the glimmer paper.
Here is another card idea with the same graduation cap!
Colleen also wanted a sympathy card. I don't have any current sympathy stamps so I used a stamp from the retired set Close as a Memory. I always try to have some sympathy cards around.
We used the new Watercolor Pencils for the background. They are so fun to work with! I really like that they have the Stamping' Up! color name on the side of the pencil.

the Wink of Stella pen with your finger to make the gold splatters. Wait until the watercolor paper is dry or the Wink of Stella will run.
can add a glue dot to the paper, and then add the metallic thread. I do that because making the swirl of thread behind an image is on my looks-easy-but-I-can't-get-the-hang-of-it list!
Here is the same design, but with the leaf image stamped rather than a die-cut image.
You can also make fun, bright cards with the Watercolor Pencils!
We did a different watercoloring technique on this flower card. The Watercolor Paper makes blending the colors a snap!
Vanilla (4 ¼” x 11” and 2 ¼” x 4 ¼”)
Suede (4” x 5 ¼”and 2 ¼” x 4 ¼”)
Paper(2 ¼” x 3 ¾”)
Vanilla Satin Ribbon
up a baby wipe and dab directly on ink pad, and then on Watercolor Paper.Continue with other colors.Use a new baby wipe to blend colors.Use texture stamps to add dimension. I started with the lightest color on top and dabbed it on the entire piece of Watercolor Paper. Then I did the medium color just on the middle and bottom, and the darkest color on the bottom only. I only stamped in the middle.
technique is called Baby Wipe Watercolor.
This card uses the same colors, but make a completely different look when you add Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, and Basic Black!
The same technique with bright and fun colors. Perfect for a birthday card!
We used a marker to ink up the words "so in love". Then we had to pick the squares from the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack. There are a lot of fun designs in that stack! We also stamped the inside. We are all ready for Valentine's Day!
