December Paper Pumpkin 2016 Another Great Year

My December Paper Pumpkin starts out looking like the sample video, but I changed up the pages a little.  I am going to use mine to have people write special thoughts or quotes in for either a birthday or wedding.  I can't wait to have the opportunity to use it!

I also came up with some alternate card ideas.  I used a few extra supplies, but the stamps were all from past Paper Pumpkin kits.  I hope these ideas inspire you to use the kit in the best way for YOU!

Same card, different colors!

I used StazOn when I stamped on the plastic sheets.  The word and flower stamps are from past Paper Pumpkin kits.  The colors are Watermelon Wonder, Crushed Curry, and Bermuda Bay on the cards, above.

December 2016 Stamping Fun Night

The first card we made was a double-gate-fold card.  It's a great way to use both sides of the double-sided designer paper!  It's easier to make than it looks.  See the How-To below for directions!

stamps:
Wonderful Year

paper:
Presents and Pinecones Paper (5 ½” x 12”)
Emerald Envy (3 ½” x 5” and ½” x 2 ¾”)
Whisper White (3 ¼” x 4 ¾” and 1 ¼” x 2 ½”)

ink:
Emerald Envy

accessories:
medium envelope- Whisper White
Simply Scored
paper cutter

HOW-TO
·      -Score the long end of a 5 ½” x 12” piece of Designer Paper at 2”, 4”, 8”, and 10”.
·      -Rotate the paper 90 degrees and mark both short ends at 2 ¾” with pencil.
·      -Cut a diagonal line from the 4” score line to the 2 ¾” pencil mark on each side.  Cut from the “top” of the design so it is not upside down later!  I learned this from experience!  :)
·      -Fold the score lines in and back.
·      -Use the 2 triangle pieces and flip them to the opposite lower side.  Adhere to the card.  TIP: Adhere the larger/inside end of the triangle, fold, and then attach the shorter/outside end of the triangle.
·      -Finish the card: add an inside panel, attach a belly band, attach words to the outside, etc.

We made a quick and easy thank you card.  If you don't have coordinating ribbon, card stock also looks nice!
