-Cut card stock 5 ½ x 11.  Score at 1 ¾, 5 ½, and 9 ¾.

-Fold the score lines mountain-valley-valley

Belly Band:

card stock: 1 ¼ x 9 ½ (or 1 ¼ x 11 and just cut off extra)

TIPS:

-Rub the (retired) embossing buddy or a used dryer sheet on the card stock before embossing to reduce static.  A small paintbrush also helps remove unwanted specks of embossing powder before you heat it.

-This is called the Glow Technique.  Stamp an image with White Craft ink on Basic Black card stock.  Clean the stamp, and stamp again with regular ink.

TIPS:

-This fun fold is called a Corner Tuck Card.

-Only add 3 dimensionals to the corners on the triangle piece.

-The retired Adhesive Backed Snowflakes also look nice on this card!

Corner Tuck Card

1.    Cut the card base (4 ¼” x 8”) and score at 2 ½”.

2.    Cut a 3” x 3” piece of Designer Paper in half, corner to corner. Add a piece of card stock to the back to add stability.  Attach to the top right corner of the card base with 3 dimensionals (one in each corner).

3.    Fold score line on card base.  Add Designer paper, ribbon, etc to the flap.

4.    Stamp words/designs on 3” x 3” Basic White card stock.  Attach to a coordinating piece of 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” of card stock.  Attach to the flap using adhesive on the left side only.  Stampin’ Seal + works well for this because the flap will be lifted and tucked under.

5.    Attach the 3” x 3” piece of Basic White card stock to the inside.  Place it under the Designer Paper triangle corner and centered so you can’t see it when you close the card.

TIP:

Use large sticky notes.  Tear off the side (of 2) opposite the sticky part.  Put on top of paper to act as a mask.  Use a sponge dauber and 2-4 inks, add color between the 2 sticky notes.  Remove sticky notes and stamp image.

TIPS

-This technique is called Emboss Resist.  Emboss the image in white, on white paper.  Rub ink over the paper.  Rub off the extra ink from the embossed images with a paper towel.

-Use the Embossing Buddy (retired) or a used dryer sheet to reduce static.  Then your powder won’t stick as much to places you don’t want it to!

TIP:

Cut the larger circle from the designer paper.  Add a square of card stock to the larger designer paper to add color and stability.  Use the smaller circle to cut out the “extra” designer paper.  Flip to the contrasting side and attach.  Add the tree & the word circle, and trim off the extra card stock.
