August 2016 Stamping Fun Night

Sun's out!  Fun's out!  Yep!  I totally agree!  And Project Life made this card quick and easy!  Project Life is great for scrapbooking, but you can also use the Card Collections and Accessories to make cards and other projects.

For those of you who were at Fun Night... the card looks better with the washi tape in the center, doesn't it?  I just couldn't get that washi tape to unroll (especially when I forgot to put it on before I attached the other card stock!).

stamps:
Project Life All Year Long Accessory Pack

paper:
Basic Black (5 ½” x 8 ½” and ½” x 5 ¼”)
Very Vanilla (4” x 5 ¼” inside card)
Project Life All Year Long Card Collection (4” x 5 ¼”)

ink:
Delightful Dijon

accessories:
medium envelope- Very Vanilla
punch- 1 ¾” circle
punch- 2” circle
Project Life All Year Long Accessory Kit

You can use washi tape for all kinds of fun things.  You can even make it the same shape as a punch!  First stamp/emboss the words.  Then add washi tape above and below the words.  Finally punch out the words/washi tape.  It makes a fun border on your punched image!

stamps:
Love and Affection

Watermelon Wonder (4 1/4” x 11”)
Cucumber Crush (3 ¾” x 5”)
Whisper White (3 1/2” x 4 3/4”)

To get this look, make sure the Designer Series Paper is cut smaller that the finished size you want.  See the dimensions, below, for the dimensions I use on this card.  To make a larger or smaller "window" just cut the Designer Series Paper bigger or smaller.

You can cut the Designer Series Paper at this angle, straight across, with a wavy line, at a different angle...However you do it will give you a fun, split look!

stamps:
Swirly Bird
Watercolor Wishes Card Kit

paper:
Thick Whisper White (4 1/4” x 11”)
Island Indigo (2” circle)
Serene Scenery Specialty Designer Paper (3 x 3 ¾”)

ink:
Island Indigo
Pool Party
Sahara Sand

accessories:
medium envelope- Whisper White
punch- 1 ¾” circle
punch- 2” circle

stampin’ trimmer

TIPS:
-Place the Designer Series Paper on the card base, stamp the word, and then attach the Designer Series Paper with dimensionals.  It's just easier to stamp next to paper that is right next to the card base (rather than paper that is popped out with dimensionals).
-Only put adhesive on the top and bottom of the Island Indigo circle.  Then attach to the Designer Series Paper.

For this make-n-take, we had to decide between 2 ways to get splatter dots on our card stock.  Decisions, decisions!  A few people choose to do it BOTH ways!  :)  Here were our choices:

1)When you add ink to the AquaPainter from the lid of the stamp pad, make sure it is very wet.  Then use your finger to flick the AquaPainter to add splatters to the paper.  (card on the left)
OR
2) Don’t get the AquaPainter so wet and use it to add dots to the background. (card on the right)

And those cool bronze-colored dots...  They are White Perfect Accents colored with a Bronze Sharpie marker!  You can use any permanent marker to color your White Perfect Accents (or rhinestones, or pearls, or...)

stamps:
Badges and Banners

paper:
Soft Suede (5 ½” x 8 ½” and 2 ½” x 2 3/4”)
Crumb Cake (4” x 5 ¼” and 2 ¼ x 2 ½”)
Whisper White (3 ¾” x 5”)
Serene Scenery Designer Paper Stack (1” x 5”)

ink:
Soft Suede
