Stamp Club May 2016

We had our last Stamp Club get-together for this catalog year.  We are all looking forward to summer, but it's always a little sad when Stamp Club won't get together again until the fall.  Good thing we had stamps, good company, and yummy snack to get us through!

I demonstrated this 3 x 3 thank you card.  I don't feel like I give a lot of 3 x 3 cards, but whenever I make some I always find a use for them right away!  The Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper will not be available after May 31st, so make sure you stock up on this gorgeous paper now!

stamps: Another Thank You paper: Mossy Meadow (3 x 6), Whisper White, Botanical Gardens Designer Paper (2 3/4 x 2 3/4) ink: VersaMark accessories: Square Envelopes, punch- scallop oval, punch- banner (punch 2 in Mossy Meadow), heat tool, black embossing powder, embossing buddy, dimensionals
TIP: Use the edge of the scallop oval punch to make ticket-corners

I've never seen a pear that is 100% one color.  So, to add that extra color and a little dimension, we first inked up the pear stamp in So Saffron.  Then we sponged the edges with Pear Pizzazz.  Now THAT'S a pear!  It looks pretty yummy to me!  I don't know if there is a "real" name for this technique, but I'm calling it Stamp and Sponge.

stamps: Apple of My Eye paper: Pear Pizzazz (5 1/2 x 8 1/2, 3 1/4 x 4 1/2), So Saffron (4 x 5 1/4), Very Vanilla (3 x 4 1/4) ink: Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Soft Suede
accessories: medium envelope- Very Vanilla, ribbon-1/4” cotton Pear Pizzazz, stamping sponge, dimensionals

I love the way the washi tape makes this flower pop!  My husband, Todd, says a flower doesn't really look like that.  True, but it sure is cute!  Raising the Basic Black card stock with dimensionals is the key to giving it the 3-D look.

stamps: Sassy Salutations paper: Basic Black (5 1/2 x 8 1/2, 3 3/4 x 5), Bermuda Bay (4 x 5 1/4), Pool Party (2 1/2 x 2 1/2 for washi tape), Cucumber Crush ink: Archival Basic Black accessories: medium envelope-Whisper White, punch- Fun Flower, punch- ½” circle
punch-extra large oval, Washi Tape- Cherry on Top, candy dots-Brights, dimensionals, mini glue dots

Does the top of this card look like an alligator, or what?!  No surprise to find out it's called the Faux Alligator technique!  It's easy to do: Just get VersaMark ink all over the card stock you want to have this look.  Then pour clear embossing powder all over it.  Before heating, run a bone folder through the embossing folder to create the lines.  There's no need to make sure you are making straight lines.  You can also try writing words, making stars...  Use your imagination for this fun technique!

stamps: Going Global
  paper: Soft Suede (5 1/2 x 8 1/2, 1 1/4 x 5), Marina Mist (4 x 5 1/4)
Mossy Meadow (3 3/4 x 5, 1 x 5) ink: Mossy Meadow, VersaMark
accessories: medium envelope-Very Vanilla, punch- 2” circle, punch- 2 ½” circle, punch- large oval, heat tool, clear embossing powder, bone folder, 1/8” mini brads, paper piercer and mat, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!
Patrice
